Softaremppa is a software renovating specialist, whose goal is to help companies struggling with old and buggy software and a tight budget. By Ohjelmistoremontti we mean a software development project, the goal of which is to repair, modify or expand old software without comprehensive initial information about its structure and operation.
Software repairments or their needs are hardly talked about in public, because it is embarrassing to admit that the software used or made by the company was not exactly great. The biggest fuss on the Internet is made by well-to-do software suppliers and subscribers who have the financial conditions to apply the latest technologies and the most modern development processes – without compromising on the price. This easily gives the false impression that all Finnish software is of high quality and made to last.
However, we believe that there is also a significant number of companies that, for one reason or another, are not satisfied with their software, but on the other hand, do not want to shout about it in public. They may be aware of the need for a software overhaul, but don’t really know who could do it on a reasonable budget. Softaremppa wants to find these companies and help them solve their software problems.
The need for software repair can arise, for example, in the following ways, which are explained in greater detail on our page ‘ohjelmistoremontti‘.
- Big hurry and small budget,
- Little by little, piece by piece,
- The world and needs change,
- It was cheap when bought from abroad,
- The prototype slipped into production,
- Selling before making it.
If any of these stories sound “too familiar”, maybe even personal, contact Reiska, and we’ll find out what kind of software overhaul would help.
